Helsinki, Finland – February 22, 2024 - Deal Comp Ltd, a leading provider of cutting-edge networking and connectivity solutions, proudly announces the launch of the state-of-the-art DCORE-DR01T tactical wireless-enabled router designed specifically for critical connectivity applications. With the integration of the NXP EdgeLock SE050 Hardware Secure Element, the DCORE-DR01T sets new standards in security, reliability, and connectivity.

Based on a multiprocessor architecture, the DR010-T includes a dedicated WRT-Linux networking processor, a general-purpose Quad Core ARM Linux application processor as well as a 32-bit system management and monitoring microcontroller. This enables isolation of software and functions onto different CPUs. The networking and application processor connect over Ethernet internally. The system management microcontroller manages external I/O and can monitor and perform recovery of both processors as well as attached modems.

Multiple internal M.2 slots can support dual 2x2 MIMO 5G and/or LTE450 modems. Both conventional uSIM and eSIM are supported in all modem slots. Multiple modems can be used to create parallel multi-uplink VPN connectivity, combined with multi-operator roaming leveraging eSIM technology.

Navigation supports high accuracy L1/L5 band GNSS technology, supported by ADR or UDR. This enables reliable navigation in challenging urban environments or in covered spaces.

Tactical and Public Safety systems require secure connectivity from EDGE devices and back-end systems. The DR01-T tactical router integrates an NXP Edgelock SE050 security chip, which enables creation of secure and trusted end-to-end connectivity across the compete network as well as secure booting and credential/key storage. This solution enables compliance to many security standards like IEC 62443, DLMS/COSEM, OPC-UA and ISO15118-2. “Introducing NXP EdgeLock technology to our multiprocessor in-vehicle routers enables users to create secure EDGE devices”, states Tauno Laakso, CEO of DealComp. “This technology represents a leap forward in enabling secure critical connectivity. With robust HW security and high-speed wireless capabilities, we empower authorities, transportation agencies, and businesses to build safer and more resilient distributed networks.”

Specifically designed for in-vehicle installations, the DR01-T is compliant with UN ECE Reg. 10 and is “e”-certified. This enables reliable installation in public safety as well as tactical vehicles. The DR01-T tactical router is designed to withstand temperature extremes as well as mechanical stress encountered in various vehicle installations.

The DR01-T tactical wireless router is available now for selected development and POC cases. Production is scheduled to start in Q2/2024.
